Advertising your House, Duplex, or Condo on Bear Cribs
First of all, why should you advertise on Bear Cribs?
This website refers more Baylor students to off-campus housing than any other source, including newspapers, magazines, and online. Bear Cribs is also the second highest trafficked local website at Baylor. Most Baylor students begin their housing search right here.
How much does it cost?
Only about $25 per month. A single unit listing in the House/Duplex/Condo section is $155 for an entire 6-month term. That’s all you’ll pay – no referral fees, processing fees, photography fees, etc. 6 months is the only term we offer at this time. We've found that many advertisers are able to get two 10 or 12 month leases out of a single 6-month listing.
If you own or manage more than one unit, you qualify for substantial quantity discounts. When you list 2-4 units, your price drops to $125 per unit. When you list 5+ units, your price is only $95 per unit.
How does it work?
With Bear Cribs, you can set up your listing yourself, upload multiple photos and login as often as you like during your 6-month term to update the listing yourself. If you prefer not to set the listing up yourself, just contact us and we’d be happy to do it for you.
Do you have any tips for getting great results with my listing?
It fluctuates throughout the year but we estimate that, on average, about half of the units advertised in the House/Duplex/Condo section are leased (mostly via Bear Cribs). Most advertisers choose to leave their listing up even after they've leased the unit so that they can build a waiting list or a list of leads for the following school year. What we've seen as a result of this is that students get frustrated calling and e-mailing properties only to be told they're unavailable. To attract more leads, simply add something like "Available as of 1/1/11" at the top of your property description and log in weekly to update it.
Our other advice is to post as many high quality photos as possible and be thorough in describing the property.
